The legendary Cartier maison was founded in 1847, when Louis-François Cartier took over the jewelry atelier of his master Adolphe Picard.
A few years later Cartier already became well known and became the supplier of illustrious personalities such as Edward VIII of England, King Alfonso XIII of Spain, King Charles I of Portugal.
In 1899 the boutique was inaugurated at 3 rue de la Paix, the historic Parisian headquarters, which will see the birth of design innovations such as mystery clocks and various models of high-end wristwatches.
The early 1900s were important years for Cartier as in the inauguration of a boutique in London and in 1909 in New York (without neglecting the important patent for the folding clasp for wristwatches.)
Among his most famous and recognizable jewels there is undoubtedly his very famous Trinity de fake cartier three-gold ring. Three rings. Three colours. Pink gold, yellow gold and white gold intertwined. All in 18kt gold.
