We always care about those who cannot afford to spend mind-boggling amounts to buy a watch so we often write about alternatives to iconic watches. The French brand Bell & Ross, of which a small share is owned by Chanel, has always been a specialist in military watches and in particular dedicated to aeronautics. Almost at the same time, however, he launched his first diving watch and from there they have been nothing but successes.
Five years after its founding in 1992, Bell & Ross launched itself into the abyss but taking it seriously. Here is a brief history:
In 1997 the brand launched the HYDROMAX with a round case. This first dive watch is water resistant to a depth of 11,100m.
In 2007 a new diver appeared, this time equipped with the tonneau case of the BR 02.
In 2017 the original Diver with a square case was presented. This family has experienced great success and has welcomed new releases every year. In particular, it includes models in steel and bronze with red, green, blue and even black dials.
Announced yesterday March 15, 2022, I present to you the new Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White.
Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White
For this latest version, the French brand was inspired by the frozen seas of the North that have always fascinated the most adventurous divers.
And it is with them in mind that the latest Bell & Ross diver was born. the BR 03-92 Diver White features a white dial, a shade rarely used by the House. But on closer inspection, the chosen color is an opal silver with soft tones; a metallization has been added to the matte surface of the dial and the whole takes on iridescent reflections.
Waterproof and very robust, the BR 03-92 Diver White complies with the ISO 6425 standard governing diving watches.
Its case is water resistant to 300 m. depth.
The unidirectional rotating bezel is graduated over 60 minutes with a luminescent dot at 12 o’clock. This notched element allows you to calculate decompression stops.
A crown guard prevents inadvertent manipulation of the crown.
The metal hands and indexes are coated with a photoluminescent Super-LumiNova® coating that emits a very bright green color in the dark. The readability remains optimal even at high depths where visibility is zero.
The appearance is typical of Bell & Ross BR watches where the shape of the case is round at the end and prevails on a square frame that only emerges with its corners above and below. It measures 42 mm. The opaline silvered white dial carries oversized indexes coated with SuperLuminova luminescent substance.
Black, inevitable in a Bell & Ross, comes out only from the three hands, also with SuperLuminova inserts, and from the unidirectional bezel that also defines the round part of the BR 03-92 Diver White.
The movement is an automatic caliber BR-CAL.302, basically a Sellita SW300-1 with 38 hours of power reserve.
The watch is supplied with a black woven rubber strap and one in black ultra-resistant synthetic canvas.

Bell & Ross has built its fortune with aviation watches inspired by the instrumentation you find in airplane dashboards, but its divers retain the proverbial visibility of the more famous brothers, a key feature of the best dive watches rolex replica.
