For Patek Philippe the chronograph has always played a role of primary importance; since 2005, the manufacture has reaffirmed its mastery in this sector by developing a complete range of chronograph movements, with or without additional functions, entirely designed and produced in its own workshops. It all started in 2005 with the CHR 27-525 PS caliber, the flattest split-seconds chronograph movement in the world. In 2006, the new CH 28-520 caliber – the second in-house movement of the Maison – stood out for its automatic winding, the modern vertical disc engagement system, the flyback function, the large single counter 6 o’clock and the chronograph hand can be used as a permanent second hand. This caliber can be associated with additional complications, as in the case of the two innovations that I present to you today: the 5905 / 1A (chronograph and Annual Calendar) and the 5930P (chronograph and Universal Time). The CH 29-535 PS caliber presented in 2009 – the third exclusive chronograph movement – combines six patented innovations with traditional architecture (manual winding, column wheel, horizontal engagement with toothed wheels). In the current collection, it is included in a men’s model (Ref. 5172) and a ladies model (Ref. 7150/250). In 2011, this basic caliber was declined in a Grand Complication, in the version that integrates the perpetual calendar (CH 29-535 PS Q) present in the 5270 and 5271 models. Rattrapante chronograph and perpetual calendar Ref.5204R-011. The split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar Ref. 5204, has been available since 2016 in two versions in pink gold, the first with a silvery opaline dial and a chocolate brown alligator strap (5204R-001), the second with a black opaline ebony dial and a style bracelet “Goutte” in rose gold (5204 / 1R). To these versions, today fake patek philippe adds a new variation of the rose gold case with the matching slate gray dial and strap. Despite the complexity of the movement, the indications appearing on the soleil dial boast perfect legibility. The day of the week and the month are displayed inside two windows in line at 12 o’clock. The hand calendar located at 6 o’clock contains the moon phase window. The small seconds and instant 30-minute counter fit into two auxiliary dials at 9 and 3 o’clock. The two small round windows display the leap year cycle at 4 and 30 and the day / night indication at the hour. 7 and 30 – two functions that allow precise adjustment of the calendar. During the day and in the dark, the reading of the time is made easier by the applied indexes and the dauphine hands in rose gold with luminescent coating. Through the sapphire crystal case back you can admire the heart of the CHR 29-535 PS Q caliber introduced for the first time in 2012 in the Ref. 5204P-001. The peculiarity of this movement is its traditional architecture (manual winding, two column wheels, horizontal engagement) combined with seven patented innovations, six of which for the chronograph and one for the rattrapante mechanism. A show embellished by the well-kept manual finishes. The watch is completed by a calfskin strap that highlights a bright slate gray embossed alligator motif, closed by a pink gold folding clasp. The fake watches is delivered with a sapphire crystal case back and an interchangeable solid back.
The Ref. 5905, presented in platinum in 2015, then in rose gold in 2019, combines two practical and easy-to-use complications: the self-winding flyback (or “return in flight”) chronograph and the patented Annual Calendar. The Manufacture reinterprets the style of this much appreciated model by unveiling a first version in steel (an unusual metal in the Patek Philippe collections) with an integrated bracelet with three rows of links. The dial gives rhythm to the whole with the new soleil olive green color, elegant and contemporary at the same time. Additional functions are perfectly legible: central chronograph hand, large 60-minute auxiliary dial at 6 o’clock and three day of the week / date / month windows arranged in a semicircle to instantly read Annual Calendar information. Added to this is the day / night indicator discreetly placed at 6 o’clock, useful for setting the date with precision. The CH 28-520 QA 24H caliber, visible through the sapphire crystal case back, remains faithful to the traditional column wheel to transmit the chronograph commands. Instead of the horizontal coupling with toothed wheels, however, it has a vertical coupling with discs. A modern technical solution that causes practically no wear, so much so that the central chronograph hand can be used to indicate the permanent seconds. The patented Annual Calendar automatically takes into account the months of 30 and 31 days and requires a single correction per year, on 1 March. The polished steel case stands out for its sophisticated architecture, with a concave bezel and creusure (hollows) on the sides. The integrated steel bracelet, while inspired by that of the Aquanaut Ref. 5167 / 1A with contrasting finishes (glossy external links and satin internal links), differs due to the polished finish below and on the sides, in continuity with the case. . It features a patented Patek Philippe folding clasp secured by four independent attachment points. This watch complements the previous references in platinum with a blue dial and in rose gold with a brown dial.
Inspired by a one-of-a-kind model from 1940, the Ref. 5930 combines two functions: the self-winding flyback chronograph (or “return to flight”) and the Universal Time. This model was presented in 2016 in a white gold version with a blue dial and strap and today it is joined by a new version that combines the sheen of platinum with a green alligator dial and strap with platinum folding clasp. The names of the cities are written in green on the corresponding disc, while the center of the dial is green with a hand-guilloché circular decoration. The same color is reproduced at 6 o’clock on the blued 30-minute counter. The applied indexes and the white gold faceted dauphine hands are highlighted by the luminescent coating which guarantees excellent readability in all circumstances. The entirely hand-polished platinum case, with the “winged” strap lugs, characteristic of the Ora Universale watches of the 1940s-1950s, bears a diamond set at 6 o’clock. The CH 28-520 HU caliber is equipped with a columns and vertical disc coupling. Thanks to this modern clutch, the chronograph’s central hand can also be used to indicate the permanent seconds, with minimal wear and without affecting the movement’s accuracy or power reserve. The button at 4 o’clock allows you to instantly start a new timing while the central hand is already making another count (flyback function or “return to flight”) or while it is used to indicate the permanent seconds. Universal Time simultaneously indicates the time in 24 time zones. The exclusive patented mechanism allows, when changing time zones, to correct all displays with a simple push of the button at 10 o’clock, without affecting the accuracy of the movement.
