Breitling, for this hot summer, has proposed a “fresh” representation of a classic model. Born in the 1950s as a diver’s watch, over the years it has evolved into a fashionable women’s timepiece; and the Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise capsule collection that I am presenting to you today (and available for a few days already) focuses on colors. The 38mm stainless steel case features a rotating bezel and prominent markers. As Breitling CEO Georges Kern commented to me, it is an extraordinary watch to wear both at work and in leisure time (worn, it makes you want to spend a weekend on the beach!), Highlighting how the original model was a reminder of the growing popularity of beach fun in the 1950s and 1960s. The same relaxed atmosphere of the era is reflected in the luminous dials of this Pastel Paradise Collection. The palette of this capsule collection is available in summer white, aquamarine, mint green and latte and each model has a tone-on-tone dial, bezel and strap. The most beautiful, however (and not only for myself as I have confirmed in Breitling) is the tangerine-colored rainbow version. With indexes and hour hands coated with Super-LumiNova, it incorporates shades of yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, red and orange. If you want a custom color scheme, you can quickly replace the luxurious Saffiano leather straps, also available in lemon and raspberry sorbet colors. For other colors we will have to wait for another collection in the coming years. The watches are powered by the COSC-certified Replica Breitling Caliber 10, with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours; waterproofing is guaranteed up to 100 meters. But be careful! The Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise capsule collection will only be produced for a limited time this summer.
