A special edition destined for exclusive sale at Panerai boutiques around the world and produced in only 70 pieces. During the 70 years, the brand is committed to providing customers with periodic services free of charge to keep the watch in perfect working order. This novelty stands out in the Luminor Marina collection thanks to the new noble metal, PlatinumtechTM. An alloy reformulated and perfected by the Panerai Laboratory of Ideas harder than conventional platinum, selected to give greater resistance to the model, but at the same time considerably more difficult to work and polish: precisely the delicate operation of finishing the case of the PlatinumtechTM Luminor Marina it is no coincidence that it requires a meticulous and accurate manual polishing process. The watch is equipped with the self-winding Caliber P.9010 movement with an autonomy of 3 days, entirely designed and developed within the replica Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. A movement characterized on a technical level by a rapid adjustment system of the hour hand, in steps of one hour forward or backward, independent from that of the minutes. The dial is a beautiful olive green with satiné soleil decoration, sandwich structure, with Arabic numerals and indexes in beige Super-LumiNovaTM with green luminescence. The seconds are at 9 o’clock, the date at 3 o’clock and the Panerai logo is in gold. Water-resistant to 5 bar (about 50 meters deep) the PlatinumtechTM Luminor Marina is supplied with a dark brown alligator leather strap with ecru stitching, with a trapezoidal pin buckle in brushed Platinumtech. A second strap, chosen by the customer at the time of purchase, completes the equipment together with a screwdriver for its replacement and removal of the buckle and a black lacquered wooden box with luminescent Luminor Marina logo on the lid.
